We quickly felt at home here in Southern California and enjoy spending our time at the beach, shopping at local surf shops and enjoying fish tacos or authentic Mexican food. We pretty much go to the movies every weekend...ask us about a new movie and we've probably seen it. I love to craft and bake. I feel most alive when making things with my hands. I'm a part-time nanny and adore little kids. I most definitely love our dog, Drake, a bit more than would be considered normal.
My heart beats for Uganda. I actually started this blog when I went there for my summer in 2009. I left my heart in the big brown eyes of the cutest babies in the country.
I've traveled the world but will always look forward to going "home" to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
